Dresscode:
semi-formal or cocktail

In late June in Portugal, you can expect daytime temperatures ranging from 22°C to 30°C and night-time lows of 15°C to 20°C. up to 40°C! There is a heat wave that is making the weather very unpredictable. The lowest temperature will still be around 20°C.

We’d love for everyone to feel comfortable yet polished in the summer warmth. Think of it as dressing for a sophisticated summer celebration but that you can still dance all night in.

For Women (updated after many complaints!):
We’ve had a lot of lovely people ask for more specifics on what to wear — so here’s a bit more guidance (because apparently the previous version wasn’t cutting it 😄).

We’d love for everyone to dress in a chic and elevated way — think elegant summer celebration, but not black-tie.

• Long or maxi dresses are ideal
• Please avoid white, black, and dark green (reserved for the bridesmaids!)
• Light or breathable fabrics are a great idea — it’ll likely be warm!
• For those who’ve asked, we’ve put together a few examples to show the overall vibe

However, the most important thing for us is that you feel confident and comfortable ✨

For Men:
Please come in suits—ties are optional, and lightweight linen suits are perfectly welcome to keep things cool.

We are very excited to celebrate with you in style!

Travel and Stay

For our wedding, we recommend flying into Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport. The venue, Herdade do Moinho Novo, is a 50-minute drive from the airport, and we suggest arriving by car as public transport is not available. We also have a few suggestions for where to sleep.

FAQ

  • We’ll be providing shade and water as soon as guests begin to arrive. Please remember to stay hydrated and wear a light layer you can remove if it gets too warm.

If you have a small handheld fan, you can bring it.

The evening is still going to be coldish (20°C).

  • The venue doesn’t allow for cars to stay overnight inside the premises, but if you are technically outside of the venue, that should be fine.

  • We are planning for an outdoors ceremony. Summer nights in portugal are quite warm, so the current plan is to have the dinner and party outside as well.
We will keep this section updated based on the weather predictions.

  • Uber and Bolt operate in the area, but it’s best to book ahead in the app if you don’t want to wait a while.
Alternatively, you can call a local taxi (Central Mafra +351 261 814 422).
